TRENTON AHEPA

Trenton AHEPA

We have great news coming out of AHEPA Service Dogs for Warriors,
our dog that we worked and raised so hard to accomplish is finally graduating. Some might ask, but yes, we received a new dog to train,
because the prior animal was not responding correctly to small children and had to be adopted out of the program.
We are inspired by the organization K9s for Warrior program on handling everything and dealing with potential treat of Hurricane Dorian. Alan, you have a life-long friend.

Bless both of you! Want to follow the live broadcast of Trenton AHEPA and Alan, link is provided or attend our watch party Sept. 19th, 2019 at the Community Center. https://www.facebook.com/groups/AHEPAservicedogsforwarriors/

Trenton AHEPA ~ AHEPA Service Dogs for Warriors

TRENTON AHEPA
Trenton has just recently come out of our quarantine kennel having recovered from an upper respiratory infection.
We are going to take some time and make sure our obedience and socialization are where
we need them to be and then he will be back at it on the public access training. 08/29/2019

Trenton AHEPA ~ AHEPA Service Dogs for Warriors

TRENTON AHEPA

Trenton AHEPA: Trenton is another new addition to my string, unfortunately he got sick and is currently being treated for an upper respiratory infection and we have been unable to train.
Once he is medically cleared, I look forward to when he is healthy so we can continue training together.

We are just beginning Trenton AHEPA's 14th week of training.
This is typically around the time that our K9s are ready to be paired with a Warrior. However, Trenton missed a couple of weeks of training because of an upper respiratory infection. He is 100% healthy now and continues to grow into a future service dog. Although very hyper and overstimulated at times, Trenton continues to impress me daily. From where he was just a couple of months ago to where he is now, is truly remarkable! Since our last update, Trenton has visited Home Depot, Veteran's Park, Wal-Mart, Staples, 5-Below and Ross. His demeanor and confidence when training inside at any off-campus location is exactly where he needs to be. As we continue to work at various locations that are outside such as different parks at beaches, he will continue to grow and mature in those scenarios also. As we enter our final tier of training, the entirety of his obedience commands will begin to be perfected and he will become comfortable in any type of environment.

Funds Raised by chapter # 72 of Trenton , NJ.

The brothers decided on "Trenton" after the city that their chapter was formed in. Trenton Ahepa #72 has a long history as a chapter of Ahepa, over 90 years.
When we made the commitment to sponsor a service dog last year we had not considered a name.
We were very pleased to take this project from concept to completion in 4 months. This project mobilized us in a way that was memorable.
The brothers of Trenton #72 wanted to select a name for our service dog that best represented the collective efforts of our members as we came together to achieve this goal.
We narrowed it down to Trent or Trenton and voted as a chapter to go with Trenton as the official name.
Our Service Dog, Trenton Ahepa, will carry forward our joy once placed with the Combat Veteran that is selected, and we look forward to that day.
~ Rick Roscoe, President Trenton Ahepa #72
