Hello, Beacon here!
We have been working really hard to get accustomed to being in public areas. So much so, that I rarely get distracted in high traffic areas. We went to the mall, and I did really well. I’m becoming more confident in public settings, so I will occasionally forge ahead of my trainer, but all he has to do is get my attention, and I’ll correct my position. Since I have become so focused, We have been working on extending the amount of time I spend in high distractions environments while working on my service dog skills. This is particularly important, because I don’t know how long my future warrior likes to go out for and I need to be prepared for any length of time. I’m coming along wonderfully, and the longer I stay out, the more I improve! I will get back with you soon, I look forward to sending you the next update soon.  06/06/2023

Beacon here! It’s so great to meet you! I’m a little new here at Camp K9, and my trainer has been very patient helping me learn to communicate. I love to sniff around and explore things, but I’m learning to focus more on my training, and I’ve already got a couple of skills under my belt! I love being sharp and quick when my trainer asks me for a behavior, and I get delicious snacks for doing a good job! I can’t wait to tell you about all of our training adventures to come. Stay tuned!
