Nick S Ahepa was named after the late Nick M. Stratas of Mobile, Alabama.
Nick was an active member of his community including a member of AHEPA  chapter #310, Mobile, Alabama for over 20 years.
He held many leadership positions in his church, president of Board, chairperson of church festival, and in 1994 Appointed by Greek Orthodox Patriarch Bartholomew as an Archon into the Order of St. Andrew. He served AHEPA for many years, including District Governor of the Mother Lodge District # One Order of AHEPA 1982-1983 & 1985-1986. Received the Outstanding Citizens Award in 1999 from the Mayor of the City of Mobile and the President of the University of South Alabama in recognition of major contributions to the spiritual, cultural, civic, and economic life of the Mobile area. President of the AHEPA National Housing Corporation Board of Directors which provides senior housing apartments. There are about 93 units in 23 states housing about 5,500 residents.

Nick S AHEPA 

Nick S AHEPA is really rocking his Phase 3 training at K9s for Warriors! Over the past two weeks, we've been able to take more trips to various parks and St. Augustine, and Nick has handled them all like a champ! He has become more accustomed to his service vest again and is proving to be a steady companion in all scenarios that we've faced so far. I am pleased to say that Nick has also become a big lover of physical affection! He'll let me scratch his ears and his face, and especially loves a good neck and back scratch! I'm so amazed at the progress he's made with this alone! Nick has also gotten so much better at genuinely relaxing next to me when we're out and about, and especially when I'm on the computer. Occasionally he will try to get my attention by stomping his paws at me as I'm trying to type, but he's learned that this tactic doesn't work on me! I love training with Nick S AHEPA because you can really see the light bulb go off in his head when he understands something. I'm looking forward to continuing to work with him and see the progress he makes over the next couple weeks! 

I hope you had a great weekend.  It seems that over the weekend Nick S. (#2) decided on a career change. 
Luckily enough we had a group of puppy raised dogs ready for training and we now have new Nick S. (#3).  Hopefully 3rd time is a charm.
  I'm happy to introduce the new Nick S. AHEPA!  He is a yellow lab and raised from a puppy into our program.
I'll keep you posted on his progress.
